The Elmira Sugar Kings are a “Community Team”. Unlike teams with independent ownership, we are operated by a Board of Directors who are volunteers and members of our community.
Volunteers play a vital role in operating our hockey club. Opportunities for volunteers include: admissions, announcements, concession, music, program sales, scorekeeping, timekeeping, security and other areas.
Volunteer Recognition
Each year our volunteers are invited to our Annual Awards Banquet where they are recognized for their time and contribution to the Elmira Sugar Kings. All volunteers are eligible to be awarded the “Dawn Farr Volunteer of the Year Award” as nominated by our Board of Directors.
